The Red Hot Chili Peppers made history by providing their fans with a live stream of their long-awaited performance at the Pyramid of Cheops, also known as the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt.
Last week the Californian group had announced that it would show live their show through their official channels on YouTube, Twitter and Facebook
The band was warmly received by a large audience that awaited it on a stage set at the foot of the great pyramid. Soon after the initial jam, he sent the classic "Can't Stop" to leave everyone in a kind of energy mood - conducive to the venue.
A setlist full of hits like "The Zephyr Song", "Dani California" and "Californication" was brought to the stage with the usual enthusiasm of the Californians who seemed to delight in every moment of that show that still opened space for more recent materials, such as "Dark Necessities" and "Go Robot," tracks from the latest The Getaway album of 2016, plus the traditional covers of The Stooges ' "I Wanna Be Your Dog" and Stevie Wonder's "Higher Ground."
In one of the most fascinating moments of the performance, however, it was Josh Klinghoffer showing a piano replay of Radiohead 's "Pyramid Song." It was already the part of the bis that had monumental closure with one of its great successes, "Give It Awy".
The interesting thing is that the record of this incredible show should be available in digital format and soon be released on DVD / Blu-ray, probably before the album of unpublished that the band promised for this year.
