At the center of the global fight against female genital mutilation (FGM) is a woman whose story has touched and inspired millions: Waris Dirie. I spoke with her and Dr. Cornelia Strunz about the work of the Desert Flower Foundation.
The International Women’s Empowerment Convention (WE Convention), world’s largest women’s empowerment event took place in Dubai on April 20-21. Organized by the Women’s Empowerment Council, a global community of women leaders championing personal and professional growth. The event was a resounding success, hosting over 2,000 attendees and more than 100 world-renowned speakers. Participants from over 75 countries spent two engaging days immersed in inspiring narratives, expert business insights, and extensive networking opportunities during the WE Convention.
