Todd Haynes&#39; adaptation of Patricia Highsmith&#39;s novel &quot;The Price of Salt&quot; is a 2015 romance film. Set in 1950s New York, Todd Haynes tells the story of a forbidden love between salesperson Therese Belivet (Rooney Mara) and the slightly older, married Carol Aired (Cate Blanchett). Together they finally break out of their normal lives and embark on a journey. But Carol&#39;s past and the existing conventions of the 50s quickly catch up with them.
