Working with renowned directly owned mills - including Bonotto, Dondi, Filati Biagioli Modesto, Lanificio Zegna and Tessitura Ubertino - ZEGNA's position as a world leader in the production of fine fabrics is underlined by the Oasis of Cashmere. It is a treasure trove of Italian craftsmanship.

Guests at the Winter 2023 Fashion Show are invited to witness a crucial stage in the production of the oasis of cashmere fabric. The fibres float and fall in an air chamber - a key process for their eventual transformation into fine material. The magic of this often invisible process is an integral part of the fabrics in the collection.

Creative Director Alessandro Sartori expands on the idea of ZEGNA's Satorial re-set by combining form and function, silhouettes and textures. Materiality is key to his vision: "At ZEGNA I have the unique opportunity to create fabrics from weaving to finishing, to challenge our makers and push them to explore uncharted waters. This allows me to shape our silhouettes from the beginning and ensure that our commitment to innovation and excellence is embedded in every step of the process. The result is an all-encompassing language that is truly progressive".

The idea of gentle precision runs through the collection and is underlined by the amount of precisely designed pieces: Bomber jackets, long coats, anoraks, blousons, polo shirts, cardigans and blazers. The new jackets have shortened sleeves, while the trousers are wide-cut. Airbrushed pleats and geometric patterns on longline blousons complement corduroy and pleated suede, adding a vertical rhythm to the collection.

The space between the garment and the body is as important as the texture of the entire collection, where lightness and a strong sense of design, go hand in hand. Generous shapes are complemented by 3D jacquards, while geometric motifs are brushed onto puffy outerwear. The jerseys are made of felt that fall like jersey, fit tightly and perform.

Substantial textures add depth, including double-sided jacquard meltons, coated and uncoated boucl&egrave;s, fris&egrave; jacquards, felts, jerseys and textiles with brushed and punched surfaces. The dialogue behind the collection stems from the idea of combining ZEGNA's fabric-making expertise with a partner who shares our appreciation and dedication to craftsmanship.&nbsp;
