After a three-year hiatus, Phoebe Philo, Céline's former creative director, will return with her own brand. 

When it was announced this week that Phoebe Philo would return to the fashion world, fashion aficionados were over the moon.&nbsp;Although not much information has been revealed, fans and industry experts are already making their predictions on what this brand could be. It remains uncertain whether Phoebe Philo will focus solely on womenswear or go the increasingly popular&nbsp;unisex route. The atelier is likely to be located in her hometown of London, where she spent 15 years of her career. The LVMH group plans to back the British designer&#39;s brand as a resource-sharing &#39;stakeholder&#39;.

"I've had a constructive and creative partnership with LVMH over the years. So it's a natural progression for us to reunite on this new project. I appreciate the work very much."

When Philo left the industry in 2017, many were left shocked. The British designer&nbsp;is considered one of the most innovative and talented female faces of fashion of the 21st century, creating designs that are effortlessly chic and timeless. The New York Times coined Philo &quot;the patron saint of women&#39;s design &quot;, honoring her skill and influence on women&#39;s fashion.

After graduating from London&#39;s Central Saint Martins College of Art &amp; Design, Philo assisted former fellow student <a href="https://www.lofficiel.at/en/fashion/stella-mccartney-shared-the-genderless-collection-that-celebrates-younger-generation">Stella McCartney</a> at&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficiel.at/en/fashion/chloe-bets-on-upcycling-for-spring-summer-2022">Chlo&eacute;</a>. When McCartney&nbsp;left the brand in 2001 for <a href="https://www.lofficiel.at/en/art-and-culture/gucci-goes-interior-gucci-decor">Gucci</a>, Philo took the top position at the fashion house, where she left a lasting legacy.&nbsp;

With an outstanding personal style, Philo has successfully rejuvenated Chlo&eacute; and launched the brand into the highly profitable leather goods business. Through that, famous handbags such as the Paddington or Silverado were born which enjoy a vast popularity still to this day.&nbsp;The designer is particularly known for skillfully blending masculinity and feminity, which results in&nbsp;the combination of trousers reminiscent of a man&#39;s suit&nbsp;with&nbsp;ruffled blouses.&nbsp;In 2006, she resigned from Chlo&eacute; due to personal reasons, wanting to spend more time with her&nbsp;children.

Three years later, after lengthy discussions with LVMH about launching an epynomous&nbsp;brand, Phoebe Philo became the head of <a href="https://www.lofficiel.at/fashion/editorial-beginning-of-summer">C&eacute;line</a>.&nbsp;Philo brought&nbsp;a more minimalist and artful aesthetic to the brand. The collections surpassed sales expectations, received critical acclaim and inspired many brands, even though she was rather reserved with e-commerce and PR in the press.
