Last stop Paris: The fashion month is coming to an end, and that in the fashion capital of the world (and of lights).

The fashion month for the Spring/Summer season 2022 ended this week in Paris following four weeks in New York, London and Milan after more than a year of ready-to-wear on digital screens with an equally grand finale in Paris. Bright colours and lots of skin were the big thing in Paris, right between historical monuments&nbsp;and Parisian gardens.

The trends of Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2022 reflect precisely this energy that the city has brought back for its first full-on ready-to-wear fashion week in a year and a half. And one thing is certain: Paris does not disappoint when it comes to extravagance, either.

There was a lot of joy, excitement and &ldquo;c&rsquo;est magnifique&rdquo;. Gone was the reduced minimalism that had dominated the trend cycle for so long and instead replaced it with texture, movement and lots and lots of skin.

Below, we have compiled our favourite trends from the Parisian catwalks for spring-summer 2022:

From practical, sporty and elegant to gracefully sexy - Miu Miu, to Giambattista Valli, Lanvin, Valentino and Co. Worn under coats and suit jackets or combined with voluminous skirts, the tops and bras in an increasingly narrow micro version or as a bandeau will hopefully be alwaysn part of our daily summer wardrobe.

Lace-up tops, crop tops, tank tops - the look of the 90s is again (or better: still) trend even 30 years later. In addition to crop tops and wide hip trousers, waist chains, as we know them from Chanel, are also very popular. Add plateaus and the look is complete.

One trend that we are very happy to take over directly from the Autumn/Winter 2021 collections are oversized suit jackets, which prove that suits are not only intended for 9-to-5. Interpreted in a modern way, but with the same idea of empowerment, Saint Laurent, Stella McCartney and the usual trend designers have taken the suit jacket one step further.

The return of the low waist is now official, and not just for denim. It celebrates its comeback especially in the Spring/Summer 2022 collection by Miu Miu as hip trousers or skirts &aacute; la ultra-low waist. But not only Miu Miu send these rebalanced proportions of the Y2K and schoolgirl aesthetic down the catwalk. Dior and Valentino opted for strictly low-cut boyfriend jeans that were combined with voluminous shirts and oversized jackets.

You really need space for this Spring/Summer trend. Because the voluminous dresses and even hip-hugging pants not only give us that extra kick of self-confidence, but also let us keep our distance. Corona distance or not, in these dresses we are definitely an eye-catcher - even from far away.&nbsp;

Peek-a-boo cut-outs have really fueled the catwalks. Cut-outs are one of the hottest trends of the last year, and it is not for nothing that several brands have decided to make them come back for the new season. The skin-tight bodies at&nbsp;Saint Laurent and Stella McCartney were particularly seductive, while Rick Owens showed a Gothic version of the trend.

When cartoon icon Jessica Rabbit is on the mood board, of course, glittery sequin dresses come out the way we&#39;ve longed for them. Jonathan Anderson, Creative Director of the Spanish brand Loewe, showed waterfall-shaped dresses with split hems in mono and contrasting colours, and Givenchy and Louis Vuitton opted for sparkling crystal trimmings. Now it&#39;s finally time to dress up, again!

Knitting - a material processing technique that combines tradition and modernity. And this is exactly what the designers in Paris prooved for next season: &ldquo;Old stitches&rdquo; are all the rage. Whether in the crochet version by Marine Serre, in the light and almost transparent versions by Acne Studios and Coperni, this timeless and season-independent trend will complete our looks even still next summer.

Underwear (but also bare skin) will once again be the fashion protagonists in Spring/Summer 2022. And that thanks to light, almost invisible clothes, which, with their layering and transparency, give us a sharp view of everything underneath. Givenchy, Louis Vuitton and Saint Laurent show us how we use fashion to draw attention to exactly the right places.

The next trend is not only a real must-have right now, but also in Spring/Summer 2022. Leather works in every season and in every wardrobe. From the classic biker jacket to leather pants, from the jacket-skirt-suit made of purple-dyed leather from Lanvin, or elegant in black in Chanel. We are already looking forward to wearing our leather coats again in spring.
