In celebration of the 30th anniversary of the iconic, mould-breaking manga Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon,&nbsp;Jimmy Choo creative director Sandra Choi collaborates on a capsule collection championing shared values of&nbsp;bold individuality, zeitgeist-defining imagery and female empowerment. A rare collaboration between Pretty&nbsp;Guardian Sailor Moon and a luxury fashion brand, fusing the visions of two exceptional female creatives, the&nbsp;collection frames Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon&rsquo;s pop culture influence through the quintessential Jimmy&nbsp;Choo prism of luxury and glamour.

Characterised from its inception as &lsquo;shōjo manga&rsquo; - &lsquo;girl&rsquo;s comics&rsquo; - femininity and female power is at the very&nbsp;heart of Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, just as it is embedded within every pair of Jimmy Choo shoes. Dynamic&nbsp;movement, energy, empowerment - the agency of women. The Jimmy Choo x Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon&nbsp;collection translates these qualities to a capsule of footwear and accessories themed around the key&nbsp;characters - the &lsquo;Sailor Guardians&rsquo; - of this manga phenomenon. Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter,&nbsp;Sailor Venus, their mentor cat Luna and of course Sailor Moon herself are all represented, super heroines as&nbsp;envisaged by Naoko Takeuchi, styled by Jimmy Choo.

The immediately identifiable colours of each Sailor Guardian define each style with their unique personae&nbsp;and individual traits inspire design treatments. The collaboration began with an exclusive tribute to the&nbsp;Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon - a Made-to-Order, limited edition Sailor Moon boot, featuring a signature&nbsp;Jimmy Choo kick heel, crescent moon jewel and vibrant pink all-over Swarovski crystal embellishment,bringing these two worlds together as one. The boot debuted in June 2022 at the Pretty Guardian Sailor&nbsp;Moon Museum at the Roppongi Museum, Tokyo.

Sailor Moon boots

This boot is a knee-high stretch style, a streamlined silhouette reflecting her dynamic spirit, with a lacquered&nbsp;kick-heel cast in the same vibrant pink as SAILOR MOON&rsquo;S boots.

Sailor Mercury ankle boots

Based on SAILOR MERCURY&rsquo;s boots, these are glossy patent leather ankle-boots with a pragmatic and&nbsp;energetic platform sole.

Sailor Mars patent pumps

SAILOR MARS red high heels translate to a slender patent pump with sharply pointed vamp and kick-heel.

Sailor Jupiter boots

The strength that characterises SAILOR JUPITER translates to sturdy green lace-up leather combat boots with&nbsp;a rubber lug sole and block heel.

Sailor Venus platform pumps

Platform high-heeled pumps with a slender ankle strap finished in vibrant orange satin and flecked with&nbsp;crystals capture SAILOR VENUS&rsquo; personality.

&nbsp;Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon

Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon is Japanese shojo (girl's) manga series illustrated and written by Naoko Takeuchi that was originally serialized in the monthly shojo manga magazine Nakayosi from 1991. The original manga has been translated into 17 languages, and the animated series has been developed in more than 40 countries, creating a social phenomenon in Japan and abroad.
In 2012, a new project was launched. The 30th anniversary project has been widely expanded to date, including a complete editions, paperback editions, e-books, a new animated series, musicals, merchandising, fan club and an official store. The "Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Museum" is scheduled to open in 2022, and the final chapter in the series, "Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Cosmos The Movie," will be released in 2023, as the series continues to gain further momentum.

The collection

The Jimmy Choo x Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon collection will be exclusively available in Europe at&nbsp;Selfridges, from the 14th February. Visitors to the department store&rsquo;s accessories hall will be able to&nbsp;experience the magic of the collection in person. Stunning iridescent fixtures inspired by the Pretty&nbsp;Guardian&rsquo;s dazzling transformations are complemented with bespoke moon-shaped ottomans and life-&nbsp;sized Luna cats. The first of their kind, these playful installations provide the ultimate photo opportunity&nbsp;for Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon superfans. The entire pop-up has been created from responsibly&nbsp;sourced materials that will be recycled after use.
This exclusive pop-up is situated on the ground floor atrium within the Selfridges accessories hall and&nbsp;will run from 14th February-12th March, 2023, from 10am-9pm. The collection will also available at&nbsp;<a href="https://row.jimmychoo.com/en/home">Jimmychoo.com.</a>
