For Vietnam, the textile industry is one of its key sectors, and Vietnam is amongst one the top textile producing and apparel exporters worldwide. Lobbster Founder and designer is considered one of the most influential Vietnamese fashion designers.&nbsp;L&rsquo;Officiel Austria sat down with the founder of the outstanding Vietnamese brand Lobbster, to find out how they create their own niche on the global fashion market and stay ahead of trends.

Tell us about your greatest strength as a professional?
I believe my greatest strength is that I can nurture and lead a team of professionals who share the same vision, aesthetics and work ethics. Every product launched is the hard work of every members from the Lobbster&rsquo;s team. They assist me in transforming my imagination into actual products for our customers in the best possible way.
Where do you look for creative inspiration?
Lobbster&rsquo;s products are the answer to the question &ndash; &ldquo;how can clothing highlight the best features of a woman's body?&rdquo;. I am always fascinated by the women around me - my endless inspiration. I often observe their lifestyle as well as their fashion and how they work which honestly gives me countless ideas and refresh my creativity.

Who was a mentor to you?
I have a few different mentors, and each one is supportive of specific areas of my life and work. They are all very successful in their own journey and possess a vast amount of experience and wisdom. For instance, my uncle, who has been in the fashion industry for decades is the one I trust with any questions regarding the manufacturing process. Other mentors include my respectable friends, who help me with business advice such as how to organize a team and improve my retail commerce.
Tell us more about the begin of your career.
After graduated from the University of the West of England, United Kingdom, my first career choice was to design and produce orders for prestigious fashion brands in Vietnam. During this period of time, I gained a lot of experience in organization, management and production, which I think is very important experience for me to acquire before building my own fashion brand.
Is there anything you wish you could tell your younger self?
I believe that life is very fair because it always challenges us with difficulties in return for sweet achievements. I don't wish I could change anything in the past - the &ldquo;me&rdquo; in my foolish years because failure was a necessary step for me to grow up.

Is it hard to stay innovative?
In my opinion, innovation is not just about inventing a brand new thing, because in a commercial world, being too advanced isn&rsquo;t always the best way to reach a mass audience. At the same time, being too familiar doesn&rsquo;t leave a strong impression either. So for me, it's the process of rediscovering things that were once loved in the past, combine with the new developments of the presence, to create the right products for the future. Such process requires a balanced mindset, in other words, to stay innovative, one first needs to achieve a balance lifestyle, to have a healthy and inquisitive mind. I have 2 habits to maintain my balance. Firstly, meditation every morning. Secondly, when I'm having a lot of problems at the same time, which cloud my head, I will write those things down, prioritize, and solve them step by step. These two habits keep my mind clear so that I can continue with my research and develop my creativity.

Tell us about youe new collection.
With the Fall/Winter 2022 collection, Lobbster reimagines the image of women's fashion using shoulder pads from the 1930s in a delicately soft form. We believe the collection is a perfect harmony of the signature winter materials such as tweed, wool and traditional craft techniques such as smocking and beading, transforming Lobbster's iconic, signature details into fascinating discoveries of the present and future.
