From dad hats to white sneakers, Hedi Slimane's latest Celine collection brings a sporty twist to the French fashion house's heritage style.

<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/shopping/womens-shopping-trends-handbags-instagram-celine">Celine</a> returns for Spring/Summer 2021, putting sporty chic on the radar for the season. On a racetrack-turned-runway in Monaco, models strutted inside the Stade Louis II, branded with <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/beauty/celine-fragrances-2019">Celine&rsquo;s</a> insignias. Walking to the beat of Princess Nokia&rsquo;s &ldquo;I Like Him,&rdquo; <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion-week/celine-spring-2019">Hedi Slimane&rsquo;s</a> latest collection made its debut, marked by dad hats, sneakers, and other <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/drake-fashion-instagram-nike-certified-lover-boy">athletic-inspired garb</a>.

While staying loyal to its French roots, Celine matches its feminine silhouettes, tweed blazers, and pussy bow blouses with slouchy joggers and hoodies. The athletic jargon and&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/brands-changing-sportswear">sporty</a>&nbsp;approach for the season follows Slimane&rsquo;s <a href="https://www.lofficielarabia.com/Men/celine-homme-summer-2021-the-dancing-kid-e041f00f-241b-4890-a135-d44e86155570">Spring/Summer 2021 men&rsquo;s collection</a>, which also featured models on a racetrack. For both the men&#39;s and women&#39;s collections, Slimane departed from the Parisian preppy aesthetic he reinvigorated the brand with since <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/hedi-slimane-joins-celine-as-creative-director">taking the helm in 2018</a>&nbsp;in favor for a more laidback, youthful look.

The&nbsp;women&rsquo;s lineup also introduces the new Celine Fold cropped jeans, which pairs with draped silk crop tops, sport bras, and athletic cashmere knits. To go hand-in-hand are the&nbsp;line of&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/ballet-flat-trend-style-inspiration">ballet flats</a>, black low boots, and Celine <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/shopping/best-combat-boots-womens-shopping-trends">hiking boots</a>.&nbsp;

For the socially-distant runway show, Slimane reflects on&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficielsingapore.com/fashion/celine-s-new-face-is-a-tiktok-phenomenon">youthful</a>&nbsp;optimism, replacing the <a href="https://lofficielbaltics.com/en/fashion-week/the-bourgeois-celine">bourgeois</a> pieces from the past few seasons with more relatable clothing for the current times. And despite the unknown, Celine still holds true to the brand&rsquo;s French identity.
