A bold launch campaign
It was last February. In full Fashion Week, Carine Roitfeld has chosen to announce the upcoming arrival of her eponymous fragrance line. And who better than the queen of "porn chic" to create controversy with his advertising campaign? Passers-by were able to discover 4,000 posters with the image of Carine, appearing from behind and completely undressed, plastered in the streets of Paris. This photograph, made by his daughter Julia Restoin Roitfeld, was quick to react ... However, the icon of fashion ensures that this display was in no way provocation: "It is by storing old business that I have luckily found this picture. To see the day, these 7 juices were developed by 3 famous perfumers: Aurélien Guichard, Pascal Gaurin and Yann Vasnier. For the record, these perfume experts were discovered with the help of Tom Ford, designer and long-time friend of Carine Roitfeld. Aurélien: this deep composition evokes the orange trees of Paris, opening with notes of citrus before revealing a heart of oil of davana and myrrh.
George: this water, fresh and green, has top notes of jasmine and rose on a background of cyprus, evoking the hidden corners of London bookstores.
Kar-wai: this fragrance has a floral and woody aroma, mixing Longjing tea, Osmanthus shrub and vetiver.
Lawrence: Inspired by a love story set amid the colorful silk and pottery markets of Dubai, this scent offers a sweet heart of jasmine based on an oud base.
Orson: this bottle evokes New York with its light hints of hawthorn flower, benzoin and tonka bean.
Sebastian: this ointment refers to memories of a passionate tango, danced in Buenos Aires, with its bouquet of tuberose, immortal blossom and sandalwood.
Vladimir: this fragrance, deep and mysterious, consists of a rich heart of amber and olibanum. It evokes the breathtaking view of ballet dancers warming behind the scenes of the superb Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg before embarking on the performance of a play by Tchaikovsky.
