Vienna retains its status as the Capital of Culture and the Capital of Design. The Design Autumn events are proof of this.

Throughout September, residents and visitors to our capital city could follow the bright yellow line, an invitation to the world of contemporary design. Wherever the yellow colour adorned a shop window, everyone could get free tickets to the exhibition, as well as the &ldquo;Design Guide&rdquo;, which lists all participating shops and provides information about the exhibits on display at the Living &amp; Lifestyle Messe in Hofburg, as well as valuable tips. Contemporary design was also on display in the Vienna underground. Three young artists&rsquo; works were showcased at the Karlsplatz and Volkstheater stations.

From 4 to 6 October, the <a href="https://www.design-district.at/">Design District</a> will reach its culmination and conclusion with another landmark event &ndash; the Living &amp; Lifestyle Messe in Hofburg. As in previous years, 250 national and international brands will showcase the best-renowned design companies can create in industrial design, real estate, cars, interiors, lifestyle, technology and hi-fi, art, and accessories. What also makes this fair special is the fact that the exhibits will be interactively explored.
&ldquo;We want you to feel how you would live with these pieces, so touches are welcome. Collapse on the sofa, slide open the sliding wardrobe doors!&rdquo; call on the <a href="https://www.design-district.at/">Design District </a>organisers Sabine J&auml;ger and Peter Sirch.

This year&rsquo;s special exhibition, &ldquo;Fashion and Accessories&rdquo;, will take place in the elegant Radetzky Apartments. Everything here revolves around those little and big favourite things that make our lives more beautiful: from clothes, bags and jewellery to cosmetics, home textiles, lighting and much more. Among the products on display, you will find timeless classics as well as innovative models. Also with great attention to detail are the handmade products, which are characterised by their quality and uniqueness.

Sustainability remains a fundamental trend in the world of technology and design. And, of course, the Design District does not ignore this theme either. At the special exhibition &ldquo;Circular District&rdquo; you can learn about different approaches to solutions, eco-friendly materials, recycling concepts and much more, as well as get a better insight into the work of start-ups in the field of sustainable design.
The garden theme is also given special attention, although the exhibition will take place indoors. &ldquo;The garden, terrace and balcony are now part of the living space...&rdquo;, Sabine J&auml;ger is convinced.
Visitors to the exhibition can also get a first-hand look at and test drive the latest automotive innovations. The premium car brands Tesla and Alfa Romeo will present their new models at the Design District. To take a test drive, you must book online.

The Design District also offers inspiration for travellers: the Best Alpine Wellness Hotels, for example, are represented with true design highlights of the hotel industry, including the Nesslerhof or the Krallerhof with its iconic design spa by Hadi Teherani.
Tatarie Marie and the winemakers Wagramer and Mionetto Prosecco are responsible for the culinary programme and the mood during the exhibition&rsquo;s run in the Hofburg.
