Enhance your home with Dior Maison
“Living in a house which doesn’t reflect who you are is a bit like wearing someone else’s clothes.” Christian Dior.
Already with the opening of his fashion house in 1946, he shaped a very own Dior Maison style with the furnishings. Already in the first years, when accessories, gloves, scarves, costume jewellery, perfumes and powder compacts were available, customers asked if there were also gifts or nice decorative little things like vases or candlesticks à la Dior. An idea was born and the "Colifichets", which means "charms" in German, soon invited customers to decorate their homes or buy pretty gifts in a small corner of the boutique.
Christian Dior already expressed his fascination for Brazil in his first creations. Inspired by the bright colours and the joie de vivre of the tropical country, the couturier and fashion house founder designs several dresses as a tribute, such as the haute couture models 'São Paulo', 'Brésil' or 'Soirée à Rio'.
An exotic journey that continues today in the Copacabana collection designed by Cordelia de Castellane for Dior Homeware.
Vases and decorative glass spheres are transformed into precious aquariums populated with fish and corals. Seaweed motifs decorate plates and, with their floral aesthetics, form placemats woven from bast.
The revival of the poetic and plant-filled atmosphere of the Spring-Summer 2020 ready-to-wear show by Maria Grazia Chiuri, the Dior-Gardens line designed by Cordelia de Castellane. The delicate motifs that adorn the different looks unfold with grace and refinement over stoneware plates. The perfect inspiration for your first summer soiree.
